Two levels, one great night
Six Mondays of Lindy Hop at Infinity Dance Sport Center. Whichever hour you join, the whole series learns together — and everybody dances with everybody.
How we teach
“My philosophy about dancing comes down to connections — connecting with the music and connecting with your partner.”
— Tan
Steps are only half of it. From the first night we listen for the pulse of the band, so you're dancing to a song rather than counting through it.
Lindy Hop is a conversation between two people. We teach the give and take that makes a move work with anyone — not just the partner you arrived with.
We don't teach for competitions or shows. The goal is simpler: that you can grab a partner and dance to any song, no matter the genre.
Week by week
Both classes run the same six Mondays, so you can see exactly what each hour holds. Every week builds on the one before — you'll never be handed a move without the ground under it.
Every class is $100 for all six lessons — $90 each if you sign up as a couple.
6:00 – 7:00 pm
$100 for all six · $90 each as a couple
7:15 – 8:15 pm
$100 for all six · $90 each as a couple
8:30 – 9:30 pm
$100 for all six · $90 each as a couple
The 8-Count Basic Swing-Out · Basics of Jazz Swing Music
The move the whole dance is built on — and the music itself, so you can hear how a swing tune is put together and where the beat lives.
Tune Up and Polish Up the Basics
Before anything new, we sharpen what you already have. A clean basic is what makes everything that follows feel easy.
Refine and Tune Up Fundamentals
A tune-up before anything new — the fundamentals sharpened to the standard the rest of the level assumes.
Basic Swing Out
A second week on the move everything else is built on — polishing it until it stops being steps and starts being dancing.
Swing Out Variations · Sugar Push (and variations)
The first new vocabulary of the series — three shapes that change how you and your partner travel together.
“Multiplying” Moves
Getting more out of what you already know: one move becomes several without learning anything new.
Lindy Circle (Swing In) · Tuck Turn
A second way of travelling together, plus the tuck turn — a little compression and spring added to the turn you already know.
Passes · Breaks · Syncopation
Passes hand momentum back and forth between you. Breaks and syncopation are where you start playing with the beat rather than only keeping it.
“Blinded” to the Music
Dancing to what you hear rather than what you planned, and letting the band choose the next move.
Inside Turn · Outside Turn
Your first two turns. Once you can send and receive a turn, the basic opens up in both directions.
Cross-Hand · Hooks · Mini-Dip
A new grip and new ways out of it — cross-hand connections and hooks, finishing with the mini-dip.
“Combos”
Stringing moves into combinations that travel and breathe, instead of one shape at a time.
Multiplying Moves
Everything so far, combined. The separate pieces start joining up into something that feels like dancing rather than steps.
Front-to-Front Charleston · Shadow Charleston · Cross-Overs
A change of rhythm. Charleston in two flavours — front-to-front and shadow — with cross-overs added in.
Fast Lindy and Charlestons
Faster tempos, where economy of movement starts to matter and Charleston comes into its own.
Side-by-Side Charleston · Review
A change of gear to finish. Charleston brings a different rhythm and a lot of energy, danced shoulder to shoulder rather than face to face — then a review of the whole series.
Texas Tommy Variations · Review
The Texas Tommy and its variations to finish, then a review to make the whole six weeks stick.
Review and Solidify
Everything from the six weeks revisited and made reliable — the point where it stops feeling new.

Learning from us is learning a style of Lindy Hop that has been influenced by other dancers and dance styles. The foundational moves will be taught, but some of the subtle nuances in how they're executed will be our preference. We always encourage our students to take classes from as many instructors as possible, and to develop your own personal dance style.
How the series runs
Progressive means each week builds on the last — so the whole series starts connecting from day one. Week six makes sense because of week one, which is why we'd rather you came for the whole run than dropped in.
