Lindy Hop is an active partner dance. You will be turning, kicking, hopping, changing direction quickly and dancing in close physical contact with a partner. Partners rotate, so over the six weeks you will dance with many other students who are also still learning.
This carries a real risk of injury that cannot be removed \u{2014} most commonly slips, trips, collisions, being stepped on, and strains or sprains to ankles, knees, shoulders, wrists and back. I understand this and I choose to take part.
I confirm I am fit enough to take part, that I will dance within my own ability, follow the instructors, wear footwear suitable for a dance floor, and take reasonable care of the people I dance with. I will tell an instructor about any injury, condition, pregnancy or medication that could affect my safety or my partners\u{2019}, and I will stop if I feel unwell or in pain.
In exchange for taking part, I release 5-6-5678 Dance, Tan Huynh and Adri Blake from liability for injury or loss arising from my participation that results from ordinary negligence. This does not apply to gross negligence, recklessness or intentional misconduct, and does not waive any right that cannot be waived under California law.
